This picture shows both French Prime-minister and British Prime-minister had to be obedient to Hitler since they didn't want the war to occur. Both France and Britain had economic problems,so they needed to buy time. France and Britain couldn't say anything about this, becuase most of Hitler's demands were reasonable to restore Germany, supports were needed. So that's why France and Britain needed to look good to Germany, Hitler.

Benito Mussolini

Benito Amilcare Andrea Mussolini was the leader of fascist Italy during the time of World War I and was a close ally to Hitler.. His fascist government valued nationalism, corporatism, militarism, and anti communism. He also enforced strict censorship and state propaganda. Mussolini had served in World War I as a sniper, and had published several novels and newspapers. He later became the Prime Minister of Italy and later built up Italy into a police state. Italy’s fascist government was run by propaganda and here Mussolini’s journalist background came into good use. Mussolini was the one who authorized the attack on Abyssinia and backed up General Francisco Franco during the Spanish Civil War. In May 1939, the alliance between Adolf Hitler and Benito Musolini became official when they signed the Pact of Steel.
Benito Mussolini had a lot of influence in the events that contribute to the start of World War II and events during World War II itself. It was Mussolini who defied the League of Nations and attacked Abyssinia. This showed the world that the League of Nations was weak and that it was afraid to go to war. This gave Hitler a huge boost and allowed him to feel confident enough to ask for territorial rights from Britain. Benito Mussolini was also an ally of Hitler and influenced many of Hitler’s actions and movement. His contributions to the events of World War II itself were even greater that his contributions that led to the war. Since Mussolini was the commander of fascist Italy, he was a very powerful and important person. First off, Italy declared war against Britain and France and allied itself with Nazi Germany. During World War II, Italy attacked France, Greece, and British forces in North Africa. The Italians also participated in the Battle of Britain. Mussolini also sent troops to help the Germans fight the Russians in the USSR and later it declared war on the USA. Italian gains and advances were limited, however.
Mussolini was once a strong leader of fascist Italy but later he was overthrown because of his inability to keep support of the people. Mussolini had always been the “back foot” of Hitler in power and strength. Hitler influenced a lot of Mussolini’s decisions and policies. When World War II started, Italy’s gains are very limited and they were not as powerful and successful as the German Army. Later on, as Italy began to experience many war losses, Mussolini was stripped from power and was replaced by Marshal Pietro Badoglio. This shows that Mussolini was nowhere near as powerful and as ruthless as Adolf Hitler. He was a key figure in World War II but not a very important one. It was Adolf Hitler who was the real leader while Benito Mussolini was the follower. Later Italy tried to secretly surrender to the allies and later signed an armistice. Italy’s actions in World War II proved that it was not a very powerful ally as Hitler might have hoped for. Adolf Hitler was the real power behind the Axis in Europe.

Russian Propaganda Poster Project

Propaganda is any ideas or statements that can be wrong or exaggerated. It is used in order to gain support for a political leader or party. In Russian revolution, they used this to make people to think the way the soviets want them to. We can learn what life was like at the back then, and can also realize how much people needed to suffer, and the power the leader had.

Lenin
Every Russian people should follow Lenin since he’s the best leader of the world. Anything he says or does is correct. Since he’s the leader of communist party, you should also follow communism too. It used only red and white to emphasize the importance of the communism since red represented communism. Using red and white is effective.

The end of the World War II
Peace will come when there’s no war. This picture shows the happiness for war being ended. It’s trying to get people feel like flying because they won’t have to suffer again. Also, to make people think peace will come someday when it’s time. Bluish tone of the color shows the clarity of peace, and lightened feelings. Using only bluish tone of color is effective.

Happy children of the USSR are always ready!

Children should be educated in communist way from their childhood. People should believe communism, and feel proud of their country, which simply means they should have strong nationalism. When readied children grow up, they can lead the country well as they were taught. The layout shows that children are the future of the country.

January 1st 1937, the 20th year of Revolution

It’s already been 20 years since the revolution happened. Under Lenin and Stalin’s effort, the country had developed quickly. Stalin made a new constitution, which gave him more power. People should think they’ll achieve 2nd Five Year Plan. The script says 1937 and 1, which seem to represent the achieved year.

I want to be with you mom.

As the result of the war, many children lost their parents. It’s all because of the war. People should realize how serious the war can cause the devastation. Children have no fault and they are getting all the bad effects. The baby looks as if disabled baby caused by chemical substances, and also he looks sad. Poor baby face shows everything.

The posters show that under the government of communism, something could be successful, such as more developed country by using Five-Year-Plan, but actually it caused mostly bad effects and results. War caused a lot of bad results and effects, like disabled babies increased affected by chemical substances from the war, and separation between children and parents, devastation of land. It also caused famine. Also, since children learn in communist way from their childhood, I really feel sorry for them not being able to enjoy their lives, because they had to follow the communist way of learning. At that time they couldn’t think of their own. Russian leaders were so harsh, Russian people needed to follow them even though they didn’t want to. I think use of propaganda was wrong. People should be allowed to think, and decide what’s good for them. Also, when children learn in communist way from their childhood, they won’t be able to think and act correctly when they grow up. So, I think they used propaganda in a wrong way.
